I’m on my 3rd, and may be ready for a fourth. The first one I purchsed 3 years ago fried because I left it out of the pool and the timer kicked in causing the unit to run without water. The second one purchased stopped working only after one season; and now I’m on my 3rd (purchased last fall. I’m starting to notice small oil slicks on the surface of my pool. I can only guess that it’s comeing from the motor of the unit. They work great for a while, but are short lived… They need to place a cord detangler on the top of the unit, and also an overheating switch on the motor. Oh and customer service is no help; it would cost me just as much to send them in as purchasing a new one… Still the least expensive unit on the market for above ground pools though…
